I plan to have an art exhibition in my garden. I already feel very excited about it! There are so many pieces of art which can be sold or admired. My late husband was sick the past two years and all we could think of, was how to cope with the many challenges related. It is five months after his death now and I know he would love it to see that I am still enjoying my art and trying to be as positive as possible.

To make this exhibition more attractive, I offer a few specials: "Buy one, get one free!" and "Buy one, get one half-price!" There will be something to eat and something to drink, lots of opportunities to chat with friends or just sit and relax under the huge trees in my garden. You are so welcome!

This is a short video of what can be expected. Enjoy it! I am Afrikaans speaking, but I'm sure that won't be a problem. Art is an universal language.

A change is as good as a holiday!

Still lifes are not my favourite painting topic, but the sweet smell of ripe oranges inspired me to paint these juicy slices. Juicy and sweet and renowned for its concentration of vitamin C, oranges make the perfect snack and add a special tang to many recipes; it is no wonder that they are one of the most popular fruits in the world. Oranges are generally available from winter through summer with seasonal variations depending on the variety.
A JOY to eat and paint!!
Available. Waterpaint and gouache on waterpaint paper.

My latest art

A joy forever. I really need to paint every now and then. It soothes my soul. It strengthens my heart. It makes me a wonderful person to know. (Smile!) I guess any activity that gives one a feeling of satisfaction, a feeling of worthiness, a feeling of love... is a gift from God. How great it is to know that we can use our talents as long as we live, any day, everyday!

Paletteknife, acrylic on hardboard. Sold to a fb-friend. She said it made her think of "hotnotsvye" just after they have had flowers.
